Itaewon on Sunday

Sunday, after full night's rest, Kraig and I went out to Angel-In Us Coffee for lunch. The sandwiches weren't much to talk about, but at least we know if there's nothing else to eat, we can eat there.

It was our first sunny day in Korea and yet our bodies were too exhausted to spend it outside.

Our beautiful campus:

On our walk to our favorite lounge:

We opted for the perfect thing to do on a sunday afternoon, watch movies and eat junk food while resting in our lounge.

For dinner we decided to be a little more adventurous. We went to Itaewon, the popular hangout spot for foreigners. We ended up eating at a small, smoky Irish pub filled with expats. Of course, the only vegetarian option, grilled cheese and fries, was unavailable, so I got a big basket of fries and Kraig got a burger. Kinda boring, but safe and very satisfying. I'm pretty sure we were more eye candy for the foreigners than the Koreans. The table across from ours kept taking turns staring at us, which was kind of awkward. At one point, I looked up and stared back at them and they didn't look away! I guess they have no shame.

I can see Itaewon being our place of comfort if we ever feel homesick. Not only are the streets littered with western restaurants, but many there can speak english, and it is very easy to get to. We already went back yesterday for some delicious 2 for 1 fish and chips.
